Noodle Bar by Bakmie Rantang Ayam Rebus.
Dim sum that disappears in three bites. Lava buns first, har gow and siu mai right after, bee hoon and char siu to finish. The chili oil is the real deal. Portions oversized, prices not.

We ordered too much and ate it all. Started with the salted egg lava buns, soft and properly oozy. The dim sum tray followed: siu mai with real bite, har gow that didn't fall apart, chili oil on the side strong enough to make us slow down. The bee hoon with chicken had crispy vegetables, scrambled egg running through it, and a wok smokiness you can taste. The char siu plate was lacquered properly, tender, not dry. Pandan drink on the side tasted like dessert. Portions were bigger than we expected, the room is loud in a good way, the service kept moving. Top score from him, a notch behind from her, both of us coming back.

Monday steak night is the smart play. Steak came medium rare exactly as ordered, the truffle mac on the side is the order to make, two sauces both worth dipping into. Glass of wine included. Cheap for what you get.

RM Padang Pondok Duo, Kerobokan
Classic rumah makan with fair prices, generous plates, and a sambal that made us order extra rice. Friendly staff, nothing fancy, easy recommend.

Taco Tuesday at 15k a taco is the move. Tried them all, decent across the board, none stood out. Good value, fun night, not a destination off-deal.
